PRINTMAKING.

Etching = Alchemy

I started making prints in 2010, doing small drypoints on plexiglas. In 2011, with a scholarship to Manhattan Graphics Center, I began learning to etch copper plates using ferric chloride. I love the whole process of etching. It’s ancient, persnickety, and time-consuming. It requires planning— and a willingness to make space for unexpected results. Its surprises are the best part, honestly.
